I’m in the middle of writing my own coming of age, bildungsroman novel, but I’ve got a little lost. Can you give me any quality young adult coming of age stories? Not romance heavy, but it’s a theme I’m exploring. I often find that romance can very easily go wrong and make a coming of age story cheesey! Any suggestions? Thanks
I really want a Kindle but the only thing holding my parent’s back is that they think it is a waste of money to buy an expensive device, then have to also pay for the books too on top of that when you can just get free books from your local library? If you agree with my parent’s, don’t answer. I only want some good reasons to convince them. Thank you.
My first problem is MONEY. Basically I’ve been poor all my life and I also have autism and aspergers, meaning it’s VERYYYYY hard for me to communicate with others that I do not know. When I was a child I used to get bullied for not being able to talk to others because I felt like they were all aliens to me and I grew up a very awkward 19 year old that doesn’t have good social skills. It gives me really bad anxiety knowing that many people are going to be talking to me throughout the day and I’m gonna have to talk back. I work at wendys and I HATE IT!!! I hate it so much. It’s so awful because I look to do things slowly and take my time and it’s GO GO GO at work. I also have to interact with hundreds of people throughout the day and the people are so mean to me for no reason. I know that all of that comes with having a job but being different from others, I can’t handle it. I get so freaked out by people that I have such a constriction on my chest that I can’t breathe sometimes. It’s like I just want to crawl out of my own skin when I’m at work or around a large crowd of people.
So back to the money thing, if the only jobs that I can get in this terrible economy are customer service jobs then what am I to do?? Is there any sort of work help for people with autism and aspergers?? I really wish i was normal but sadly I am not. I tried to change but I just can’t. Im way to scared of people and I don’t really want to talk to them or go near them. I enjoy being alone where there is lots of peace and quiet. I need a slow, consistent job that ISNT in customer service. I can’t stand it how most jobs are like “work saturday this week but not the next” and they change the hours and stuff all the time. I tried explaining that to my employer but they said “sorry you get what we give you.”
Can any experts PLEASE give me their best advice on what I should do?!
I’ve been so depressed lately in this world because I’m different that I’ve thought seriously about suicide. That’s how bad it has gotten. I just really need some help!
hi, i’m a sophomore in high school and i am really interested in philosophy but i don’t really know that much about it and i want to learn more. I was wondering if anyone had ideas on any books that i should get to learn about it more. preferably ones that i would be able to understand and not take 3 years to read. if anyone has any ideas on how to learn more or any books it would be greatly appreciated.

I havent gotten my kindle 2 yet but i have this novel that im writing on microsoft word and i was wondering if there was any way i could send it to my kindle 2 and work on it from there? can i do that and if so how and will i have to pay to do that?
So today, I got the all clear – I’m not mentally ill despite attempting suicide twice in the past two months and being hospitalized due to injuries sustained.
The assessments did reveal a few things however – I don’t have empathy and have very little tolerance for my own and other people’s emotion (almost in the same way Aspergers manifests itself). I haven’t been diagnosed with that but that’s what has been noted and because of that – when I do feel emotion then I overact. What was basically said is that I’m “allergic” to feelings.
The problem is that there wasn’t any recommendation. The only thing that the psychiatrist recommended is that I’m told that “feelings can’t hurt me. Actions do” and the only thing that can really be done is for me to learn to “wait it out”.
The problem is that when I’m feeling like that – I’m not thinking about what caused it, I’m thinking about dieing. That’s all I can think about. My emotional intelligence drops and I’m no longer able to distinguish between my rational and irrational thoughts and I want to die. “Waiting it out” doesn’t seem like an option when I’m like that – particularly due to my impulsive nature. I tried to get this across and he was said that I’d just have to “practice” – despite similar things going on for the past two and a half years.
I feel like I need a therapy that will help me understand and help me cope and react to feelings in a positive way instead of self harm/suicide because I don’t feel like I’m going to last very long on what has been given to me. What would those kind of therapies be called? Or is it a generic counselling kinda of thing?
Sorry about the length. Thanks for responses.

I’m trying to decide between Kindle WiFi and Kindle 3G + WiFi and global wireless. It’s about $50.00 more for the extra features. I don’t do a lot of international traveling, so the second feature isn’t very important to me. However, does having 3G really enhance the Kindle? Also, how necessary is the two year extended warranty?

When Kindle books are on a Kindle Fire tablet and you have finished reading them, how do you delete them? I have a micro USB wire that attaches to my desktop computer, but still, I can’t get rid of the books that I don’t need anymore.

My teacher told me to list them for homework, but I only find awards for the movie adaptation.
He said to list the awards of FotR, not any other book.
I can’t find anything on the FotR. It’s only The Hobbit and the trilogy as a whole.

I am buying her a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas and I would like to load a book or two on it so that she has it that night. She likes the beach a great deal, not really romance though, more like friendship stuff. She also likes small town stories. Another category i can think of is some sort of witty female humor.
Thanks for the help.

I know that all of that comes with having a job but being different from others, I can’t handle it. I get so freaked out by people that I have such a constriction on my chest that I can’t breathe sometimes. I have a book, written by a relative in the 1960s. I happen to know that the relative died only 2-3 years after writing the book.
The book was in limited release, and I had to really search to find it. And when it was found, it was worth only a few cents.
I have found it now, and I want to reproduce it for our modern era, perhaps even putting it up on Kindle for free. But I’m concerned if I do this, someone might try to bring up the copyright, even though it was copyrighted in 1962, and the author died like two years after that and it seems no one bothered to renew or re-release the book since.
Now that you know all this, if I reproduced this book, would it be ok? Its fallen in public domain right?
I’m writing a book and I would like to know which is better for publishing..
I am 16 and a half. I really love writing books and I write ALL kinds. I like writing children’s books, realistic fiction, fictional. How can I publish my books? I’m not saying I wanna be a famous author, I just wanna make some money by writing books. And is there a way to make my stories into a book without really publishing it, like making a hardcover book and not selling them? Please answer both questions. Thanks!

I am so happy because I learned that Best Buy carries Kindle Paperwhites and since I seriously wanted one super bad, I thought I was going to have to order it online and wait until Tuesday to get it, but I got it today! At Best Buy! And I’m absolutely in love. It’s perfect! <3
BQ: Do you enjoy reading?
BQ2: How has your day been?
My teacher told me to list them for homework, but I only find awards for the movie adaptation.
He said to list the awards of FotR, not any other book.
I can’t find anything on the FotR. It’s only The Hobbit and the trilogy as a whole.
1. I have always been interested in writing a book and i was wondering what do i need to know or how do i go about getting started.
2. Are you suppose to write the whole book and then get it edited and find publishers.
3. Basically how does this process work?
I have a kindle touch and i used to always use 3G. A while ago, i went on vacation and had to use wifi for a while. Now i want to turn it back to 3G manually, but when i try to connect it always brings up a menu of wifi connections and there’s no 3G option.
I’m writing a book and I would like to know which is better for publishing..

Thanks
Just bought a second Kindle for my wife. Not sure how to get the books that are already downloaded on my Kindle over to her new Kindle.
My teacher told me to list them for homework, but I only find awards for the movie adaptation.

When Kindle books are on a Kindle Fire tablet and you have finished reading them, how do you delete them? I have a micro USB wire that attaches to my desktop computer, but still, I can’t get rid of the books that I don’t need anymore.
I got a kindle fire hd for christmas and i want to download free apps, but when i click download it says i have to do this 1 click purchase thing and it needs my credit card number, i don’t have a credit card! I just want to download some apps, what do i do?
