Even though there are 47 million of our citizens who go uninsured because they either cannot afford the outrageous premiums or they are denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition…plus many more millions who are underinsured or risk losing their coverage because of job loss or job change, there are still people who are against our president’s effort to reform the broken health insurance system; some obviously against their own interests. Why?

I hear alot of people talk about for profit schools. What is so bad about them. Their is alot of information so if anyone can condense the reason that would be great. I’ll read whatever you can fit into your response. For profit schools are the ones you see alot of commercials for, like ITT Tech, Everest, The Art Institute, etc…

I wanted to know if a person owned a s-corp and bought a aged corp with good credit and used it to obtain the funding it needs to invest in like real estate how will the profits be funneled to the parent corp be taxed. I know that an s-corp’s income is not taxed while the employees are taxed on the pass thru income. My question is is the profits from subsidiary s-corp passed up to the parent s-corp tax free until its passed to its employees?

  8. Serena Frieden says:

If for example, the market is gauged by buyers and sellers in the market place… How can the banks maintain profits? Are there a stream of people with millions of pounds overall each day just frittering away money… This doesn’t seem plausible?

HSBC for example has profits, year on year… Yet very rarely do banks actually go bust unless there is a giant rogue trader in the firm… How then, is it possible to maintain profits?

Key words to help you answer this question are: Funnel, statistics, perfect market, imperfect market, defining a market, other.

I have a self directed UGMA (18 and under) brokerage account from Bank of America. I have been making a substantial amount of money through trading, and I want to donate a lot of it. This is also so that I can have some good extra curricular for college.

Is there some way that I can create a business and funnel my profits through it? Is it possible for a minor to do this, with parents help, of course?

Gosh this scares me. I think about all the big corporate profits that can now be funneled into influencing voters with advertisements. How do you feel? Do think it will change the political landscape? Do we even know what issues a corporation may see in their best interests? Maybe I have read to much science fiction but I am concerned. My friend and I are thinking of selling triple chocolate fudge brownies, funnel cakes, bacon sundaes and other irrestiable foods in the middle of a busy street. We figured if people think their world is going to end, they won’t care about getting a heart attack.

We’re also thinking of making merchandise that say “I was here for the apocolypse and all I got was this lousy (T-shirt, keychain, seashell, etc)”. Does anyone else have some other ideas?

I mean do they give people loan like banks which should be compulsorily returned with interest or do they risk their money in the plans of people which need not be returned even if their plan fail to earn them much profit/fail to make any profit.

Is the money of investors need to be returned fully even if the person they have invested in gives them share in the profits.

Can the person who has taken the money from investors be even sent to prison for not profiting with the investors money and giving to investors.

    Please answer seriously. No Jokes!!

Some oil company experts celebrate that the profits of gasoline companies demonstrate that not every company is suffering from the recession.

Those who have worked for companies like Exxon Mobile have enjoyed luxurious vacation packages to Hawaii, Bermuda, Caymen Islands, Paris, Tokyo, you name it. It’s an amazing flow of money.

When asked if these profits are due to gasoline prices, they smile and say “don’t be silly, it’s just one of those coincidences, ya know?”

Why?

My friend and I are thinking of selling triple chocolate fudge brownies, funnel cakes, bacon sundaes and other irrestiable foods in the middle of a busy street. We figured if people think their world is going to end, they won’t care about getting a heart attack.

We’re also thinking of making merchandise that say “I was here for the apocolypse and all I got was this lousy (T-shirt, keychain, seashell, etc)”. Does anyone else have some other ideas?

I hear alot of people talk about for profit schools. What is so bad about them. Their is alot of information so if anyone can condense the reason that would be great. I’ll read whatever you can fit into your response. For profit schools are the ones you see alot of commercials for, like ITT Tech, Everest, The Art Institute, etc…

It obviously takes in more money than it needs. It’s supposedly a nonprofit organization. So where does the money go? Do the funnel out amounts to other organizations or do the people who work for it just get paid a lot?

Any divine answers will be accepted as well.

Can someone tell me the time zones of when the markets open and close for California…I don’t understand a ton of things and I am learning…I am learning on a practice account so I can lose a ton of money, if I don’t try I’ll never know. (I’m probably going to get a lot of “get out of this market if you don’t know what your doing!) But I’m learning!
Like when asia stops and London picks up or New York

If for example, the market is gauged by buyers and sellers in the market place… How can the banks maintain profits? Are there a stream of people with millions of pounds overall each day just frittering away money… This doesn’t seem plausible?

HSBC for example has profits, year on year… Yet very rarely do banks actually go bust unless there is a giant rogue trader in the firm… How then, is it possible to maintain profits?

Key words to help you answer this question are: Funnel, statistics, perfect market, imperfect market, defining a market, other.
