Content Transformer Review,

In general how do you choose amplifiers?
Tell if it has sexual content, language, or any scary stuff/violence?
Alright so I made a Transformers 2 review and had some Linkin Park in it and also another Steve guy who did the music mixes for the movie. If I made a remix of a song is it still copyright infringement?? Isn’t it my content after I modify it?? If so I have a feeling I can modify a song or two to make it
legitimate. Also do you think it could be banned because of my movie trailer in the begining of the Review??
I know transformers was released yesterday, so reviews and rating have also been released. Now I haven’t seen it yet, but at IMDB.com said there were some intense sexual situations… Just how bad are they, and what exactly does it show?
I really need to know because me and my family are going to see it today, and I don’t particularly care to see people making out on a big, loud screen.
It comes out next month .it stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. This movie is a yet another remake of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. is it attached to either of these movies ? Is Warner Brothers even hyping it yet?
Whenever I find a new game franchise on the 360 that I’m into, I finish all of them within the next year and go looking for some new ones. I’m usually not allowed to play anything rated-M, but my parents will allow it if it’s like Halo 4, where most people think it really should have been rated-T. I’ve already found Lost Planet, Halo, Transformers, Section 8, Hybrid, Murder Miners, and some others. If you have any suggestions (there can’t be any sexual content, nudity, or “f-bombs”), I’m all ears. =)
I already have all the games listed above (that means all the Transformers, Section 8, Lost planet, and Halo games).
It could be very funny and entertaining. I think its rating is overreacting and a bit bias toward all the games. They rated hunger games 14 and sims 3 for 15. Sims 3 for 15 years old!!!!!!
Anyways, what do u think????
…i’m 15 and my family was thinking to watch it together, that would be mom, dad, and 11 year old sister, and me.
do u have any specific examples why it was rated R? would it be really awkward to watch with my parents?
need advice!

I know it’s early but I am thinking ahead to next year and I want to go as bumblebee from transformers. I know you can buy the costume but I haven’t liked any that i’ve seen so far. I want to go as tall(not as tall as he actually was but still tall), look as realistic as possible and if possible try to transform into the car. I don’t think I can buy what I want but hopefully it can be made. Does anyone have any tips or know how to do this?

I really want to know what a transformer is, how it works, and why it works. I really want an answer that goes down the the atomic scale. I really want analogies. And please don’t copy and paste stuff from websites. Please don’t worry about getting “second comment.” The most scientific and well explained answer gets best answer.

I bought a pair of Empire S-5500 active audio speakers. They might not sound familiar to you since it’s a relatively new brand but I read reviews about their outstanding performances and some even compare them with way more expensive competitors like KRK’s.
Now I know how can they be so good while being cheap. Quality checks seem to be what these guys chose to economize on.
I can tell the sound quality is good and the frequency response is nothing less of what stated BUT everytime the speakers are on, with or without music playing, there is a humming sound about the frequency of the AC used to power it, with overtones too.
Only one of the speakers is actually powered, containig the transformer, the amplification circuit etc and feeding the other through a XLR 4 pins audio cable.
I suppose the hum is an interference noise caused on the amplifying circuit inside the powered speaker by the transformer and/or by the power supply circuit. The rectifier and capacitors of the latter are soldered on a part I can remove, and I noticed that taking this part away from the speaker (while not unplugging the cables) does reduce the humming.
So i think the remaining sound is due to interference caused by the transformer which is bolted to the speaker box.
The warranty is gone, so my plan at this point is to substitute the capacitors and rectifier on the board with (quality) new ones, but I know this can improve the situation just a bit. What else could be done? Is substituting or somehow faraday-caging the transformer a good idea?
Am I overlooking something?
Anything could be helpful so don’t be shy to tell what you think.
Thanks for your time.
I forgot to tell that the speaker hums wherever i plug it, it did the same at a friend’s house, and still other hi-fi equipment nearby don’t suffer any of this. If i link the two speakers the passive one starts to make the same noise too.
I can sometimes even hear the radio superimposed to that, it’s really dim but it’s annoying.
The volume of both the hum and the radio sound is independent of the position of the volume pot located on the powered speaker.
The speakers are currently plugged into a filtered power bar. There’s no fridge or other device plugged in the same power bar, except for a lamp which is turned off most of the time.

A friend of my son aged 10 and his mom took my son to see the Kingdom when he was over their house this weekend.
I have not seen it yet, so I don’t know but I think its a little concerning that they did not ask me.
My son told me about it last night. He also asked me if he was allowed to play violent video games.
It’s not like I shelter my son from all this, boys like to play soldier, etc. But when I am watching “24″, my kids are already in bed and its probably not a movie I would consider appropriate for a 10 year old although I took my kids to see Transformers.

My doorbell stopped working so I tested the button, chime and transformer with my multimeter to no avail. I tested the 120v wires attached to the transformer with a circuit tester and they don’t seem to be “hot”. There is a hard wired smoke detector right next to where the chime/transformer are and the connection there seems to be hot according to my circuit tester. I have moved all my breakers back and forth to make sure they are not tripped. Do wires go bad? Is this an easy fix that a diy homeowner can fix, or do I need a licensed electrician? Thanks for any advice!
Just to make it clear. The 120v wires mentioned above are the ones coming out of the wall.
Thanks for the responses. I also identified that I am only getting 30v out of my 120v wire. I tested with my multimeter. I think I will need an electician to trace out the problem. It is just weird that it happed all of the sudden. Thanks again!
I have a bugera 1960 and i have a classictone transformer, but i cant find a wiring schematic or just a diagram of the original transformer anywhere. Does anyone know how, or have anything that could help. And i know bugera is an infamous amp, but it is all i could afford, i cant really save up for anything more expensive because, well my parents wont let me buy anything more expensive. I would appreciate if people wouldnt give me negative feedback. Thanks.

ALSO:
What does the transformer do to the voltage when the electricity arrives at the power station?
What is the voltage of electricity produced in power stations?

do u have any specific examples why it was rated R? would it be really awkward to watch with my parents?
need advice!

I have a 25 volt 2 amp transformer from radioshack and a non push dimmer from walmart. The dimmer has two black wires and one green. The transformer has on one side two yellows and a black and on the other side two blacks. I need to know how to hook the dimmer up to an outlet then how to wire it to the transformer.

I really want to know what a transformer is, how it works, and why it works. I really want an answer that goes down the the atomic scale. I really want analogies. And please don’t copy and paste stuff from websites. Please don’t worry about getting “second comment.” The most scientific and well explained answer gets best answer.

With landscape transformers there’s no revers polarity so how does it work and I have a 12 volt led lighting strip with + and – terminals so will it work with this transformer even though ther is no marks on the terminals.

I’ve just pre-ordered a copy of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for Xbox 360 in the UK from Amazon. I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t get a bonus because a site mentioned Amazon pre- orderers getting a DLC download code, but when I went to GAME.co.uk, I saw a disc cover with a sticker saying “Includes Sideswipe Pre-Order Bonus” but I didn’t see a sticker on Amazon. Am I getting anything? If not, can anyone give me a free pre-order code for best answer.
I wonder if I could connect a transformer to Battery. What will be the output,
what could happen to the source.
And I want to know if there is any way to convert DC to AC, any simple way like converting AC to DC with a full wave bridge rectifier with a capacitor.

When a 11 kv transformer is used to produce 4000Amperes DC and 100 V DC supply, how is this achieved? How the current is increased and voltage is reduced?

…i’m 15 and my family was thinking to watch it together, that would be mom, dad, and 11 year old sister, and me.
do u have any specific examples why it was rated R? would it be really awkward to watch with my parents?
need advice!

…i’m 15 and my family was thinking to watch it together, that would be mom, dad, and 11 year old sister, and me.

I understand how a transformer works with the AC electricity and the iron core and the coil ratios. What I don’t understand, is what the fifth or sixth wire does. How do you incorporate it in a circuitt, and can you show me a simple circuit of one?

How do I determine if a transformer is beyond the normal temp range and is at risk of failure?
A 225 kva installed in 1996 is running hot. I removed the cover and using a digital thermal meter read approx 125 degrees F on each winding. 243 degrees F on the top metal (winding support) frame. It’s got parallel 750′s off the load side and would be an expensive and difficult change.

With landscape transformers there’s no revers polarity so how does it work and I have a 12 volt led lighting strip with + and – terminals so will it work with this transformer even though ther is no marks on the terminals.

I really want to know what a transformer is, how it works, and why it works. I really want an answer that goes down the the atomic scale. I really want analogies. And please don’t copy and paste stuff from websites. Please don’t worry about getting “second comment.” The most scientific and well explained answer gets best answer.
