A local video store in my town, that has been open for over 20 years, just recently had to close due to the recession.

Have any local stores/businesses been closed due to this?

    Architects
A budget was given to the Builder and the Architect. The builder failed to work with the Architect. The Architect kept on working with the designer. New Builders are bidding on the project and the numbers are looking high. We are waiting on more bids to compare. Fluctuation in the market was taken in consideration, even more now, that the plans are finished and the builder failed to produce in addition of getting paid to do so. Our concerns are growing because we also need to consider the lost of time and changes in interest rates. Thank you for your answer.

  6. Harriett Legler says:

Hello everyone! I am a sixteen year old teenage boy with dreams of becoming a future filmmaker. I love the art of film. Cinema seems like the the single greatest thing in life right after Dr. Pepper and Twinkies. BUT. Sadly, yes, there’s always a but. I come from a family that I really love and I would want to make very proud. I have great grades, and I’m confident I can get into many top tier schools. I don’t want to waste all my parents money on a degree like film, as I’ve heard nearly all film students are unemployed. I can become a doctor, I love biology. I can also see myself studying International Relations or a political based degree for that matter. But there’s always this part of me that tells me to stick with film.

I haven’t made any short films yet, but I plan to soon.

Oh yes, I also really love to write my own movies and seeing my own visions coming to the screen.
I love releasing any sort of emotion from my viewers, to make them see the perspective of another human being, another world. I like to make people feel.

    Where do I begin..

It all started as sort of a hobby, watching some films that weren’t mainstream per say, trying to look into the highly acclaimed films all these film fanatics were throwing at me on the web. Little did I know..my days would be filled with nothing but constant movie watching, day after day,I’d tick off movie after movie, all these beautiful films with all these wonderful messages. Some were funny, some were sad, some brought you to the edge of your seat, others made you cry.

To make a long story short, I fell in love. I fell in love with the Cinema. With the art of film. I began reading Roger Ebert (R.I.P.)movie reviews, it only gained my passion more and more. Film ideas pop in my head, artistic styles, what would make a scene even better..anything related to film.

Sorry for any mishaps in my writing, if any of it makes little to no sense, please, forgive me. I only had a couple of minutes to finish this. Any advice would be appreciated, folks. Thank you. :)

P.S.: Anyone that can help, you’re a great human being.

    Hello,

I am planning on starting a small, local video production company focusing on making commercials, music videos, PSA’s, and working on weddings and such.

However, I believe I need insurance for the company, I’m just not too sure exactly which type I would need.

Does anyone know if there is a specific insurance a production company would need? And, if so, what is an estimated amount it could cost for the year?

    Thank you guys.

I disagree with a continuous decision that a local Social Security office in NJ made regarding the beneficiary recipient of my Daughters money that she receives due to my disability. What court would I file the motion in and who would I name as an advocate? This would be for me to be named as her representative payee rather then her mother. She collects this because I am disabled however I share custody of her and the money is not being used for her. My medical condition is now deteriorating because I can not afford both my care and my daughters expenses. I’m forced to neglect my medical needs to care for those of my daughters with no assistance from her well bodied mother. I have all the documentation to prove this however the Social Security office refuses to believe it because of the mother of my daughter lies regarding her spending of it. Here I break my neck and can not work any longer and its like she won the lottery getting $1200 per month and not refuses to keep a job spending my daughters money on herself and her boyfriends.

If you have a surplus resource at your disposal (such as time, money, tangible items, intangible items, experience, ideas, brute force, etc.) how could you use it to help another person? This person could be your best friend or a complete stranger, doesn’t matter. Please only include non-traditional ways.

Some examples of what I am looking for include:

Arranging complete outfits out of the cloths you never wear and giving it to someone who needs it. This would include shoes, pants, shirt, and accessories for the outfit.
Driving someone to a job interview
Giving someone your old bike if there’s has been stolen
Cleaning up an elderly person’s yard/home
Giving a homeless guy your Subway giftcard that you never use
Instead of having a yard sale, have a donation sale where instead of selling your old unused stuff you ask the buyer what they intend to do with the item. Then, if you feel it is a noble enough idea you let them have it.
    Teach someone a new language
Find a person who has done something you like and write them a thank you card. This could be someone who posted a video on the internet that you enjoyed or gave a review of a product that caused you to buy it, or even an old college professor.
Grab your favorite book and give it to a random person at a bookstore. Indicate that it’s your favorite book of all time, hand it to them, tell them they can keep it and walk away.
Give out free waters during your child’s sporting event
Sit down and listen to someone who really needs it for 30 minutes
Be the father figure for someone who doesn’t have one
Mow your neighbor’s lawn without telling them
Sponsor someone. This could include motivating them, giving them resources to start/complete a project, or just increasing their overall well-being anyway you can.
If you find a “Lost Dog” poster in your neighborhood, duplicate it a few dozen times and plaster it in the areas where the original person did not
Donate your old instrument to a local high school band
Bring more items than necessary to your friends party

These are just a few examples that came off the top of my head.
Please comment back with your own ideas, the more create and unique the better.

It happens here in my country, I’m not sure if the local authority would still issue tickets if a traffic police is directing the traffic, overriding the traffic light signals (of course). But does the camera actually ‘know’ that those ‘beating’ the traffic light are following the traffic police direction?

Will we get ticket in the end of the day?

Just watched a video review off Gametrailers about Warhawk saying there is no tutorials on Warhawk. Its basically a play and learn, ‘jump into the deep end of the pool’ game. So players of Warhawk, just how steep is the learning curve?

It happens here in my country, I’m not sure if the local authority would still issue tickets if a traffic police is directing the traffic, overriding the traffic light signals (of course). But does the camera actually ‘know’ that those ‘beating’ the traffic light are following the traffic police direction?

Will we get ticket in the end of the day?

My friends and I get together every weekend and play Halo on the xbox 360. I offered to host an upcoming weekend and I have a PlayStation. I know online Co-op is more popular so I was wondering if there are any offline multiplayer games.
Four player would be preferable but I wouldn’t mind two players but there are four of us and we are all impatient. We also all hate sports…
I know of: Borderlands 2, Resistance, Street Fighter, and Little Big Planet. Any other offline or local video games for playstation 3?
