My Friend the Internet Marketing Guru and What He Taught Me
About Twelve years earlier we had worked together as business consultants for a large German corporation and I had come to know James as fiercely competitive, loyal and smart.
He was the guy most likely to make it big doing something and little did I know he had found his vessel to have incredible business success.
I had looked at Internet Marketing a little myself and had an interest in online advertising but I was skeptical about what the online Gurus claimed about making high Six and even Seven figure incomes online.

In my very first lesson James shared Three secrets with me so here goes I will share them with you.
1. Setting your office up specifically for Internet Marketing.
This one sounded simple enough but this basic set of things to get and things to do propelled me from keen newbie to immediate level very quickly.
His first advice was to get Two smallish white boards and some coloured markers and to use one white board for works in progress in your online business and the other for home and personal.
Next was to set aside a very clearly defined storage area for all of your Internet Marketing resources, ideally a large cupboard for things such as cables, dvds, books, discs, printed ebooks, discs, marker pens, folders etc.
The whiteboard is crucial as he showed me exactly how to plan and build websites then transfer the notes to a notebook rub off the ink then start again easily.
2. George showed me a brilliant piece of software called snagit which allows you to take screen shots of any thing online and then simply save the page as anything you like.
An example would be that you are promoting an affiliate site and you make your first couple of sales just imagine how good it is to keep a constant diary of your successes both for testimonials and proof as your business grows but also to make sure the program you are promoting is being honest and to cross check their records with yours.
This way you will know about every single purchase and this diary method simply takes any possible profit leakage out of the equation.
3. The Third thing that James showed me in my first lesson was how to install Google analytics into the very basic first website that I had set up so that I could monitor all the trends relating to the traffic I was getting.
Although it was a small number I now had the ability to see that Google was sending me some free organic traffic and also what keywords were working from my small time pay per click program,if fact I even learnt how to go down to the spot in analytics that says email then click on schedule reports and I could choose to get a daily, weekly or monthly report that would basically set my path for each site I build in the future.
I have now had months of lessons and using what a Gurus know can sure speed up your online business plan.
